Taiwan's Land Ecology

Section Three

This introduces the mangrove swamps and low altitude ecological system in Taiwan. A stream wherein different stories are outlined connects this section with those of 4 and 5. Mangrove swamps and low altitude ecological systems in Taiwan are displayed through ecological landscaping. Visitors may press the button on the display board to view the some of the creatures, which helps them to learn more about the features of these animals/plants. The miniature image of the indigenous ecology is vividly presented to the audience.

Section Four

This illustrates streams - geographical features and creatures in streams. Small exhibition boxes are used to introduce the "biotic index" role played by specific creatures in streams. The artificial stream on the ground serves the dual purpose of illustrating the indigenous geography and the passing of time. Visitors can walk freely in the water or they can take a closer look at the stream's residents- the Taiwan Common Toad and the various types of freshwater fish.
